God for All

Father’s Day (a brief good morning)

A Father…

We are all made in God’s image. Cast into a mold that is unique to each of us, but still in His image. That would make God divergent. What an amazing thought.

So, God takes an element of being and places that element carefully into a mold. Then, as any good baker, he adds just enough of many different ingredients to create a man or a woman.

I can see God now, “Hmmm, I think we need a pinch of salt for leavening, and a cup of sugar for sweetness. Maybe I’ll put in some mincemeat to make him stronger. How about a little lemon for a tart sense of humor?” And it goes on from there. Baking up the perfect person.

The final ingredient is always the soul. See, God handles this part very carefully. It is the most delicate part of all his masterpieces. And it is the only part that can make or break the perfect person. The soul is like a souffle, if done just right he will follow God throughout life and honor the master Baker’s creation. If not, the souffle will fall, cave into itself, and the master Baker will weep.

The soul…

God makes a woman with the ingredients to be soft, gentle, compassionate. He adds in strength as a Mother that allows protection, comfort, and patience.

God makes a man with the ingredients to be strong, courageous, big and bold. He adds in strength as a Father that allows protection, comfort, and patience.

So many similarities but it is the Father’s everyone looks to as the provider. God made me to be dependent upon, as we depend upon our God in Heaven. For those men, whose soul’s remain with God, they will see just how mirrored in his image they were cast. We look to our Father as the ultimate one to protect, depend upon, and in our humanly form, as children, as wives, we do the same. And those men who serve God always remember just how to serve their soul so that they honor the greatest Fatherly gift.

Being a Father… The greatest gift.

Being a Father… You have honored your wife, your children, and God.

Thank you to all the Father’s I know, for being amazingly you.
